The pilot plant under development, which should see its first production this month, will produce up to 72,000 liters of biodiesel daily and will process up to 300 kilos of castor seeds per hour. Though two other universities in Mexico are running similar programs, none include the feedstock cleaning and oil purification aspects as the Puebla program does.
